food and service is pretty good. be aware if you're going in the morning thou. their early bird specials attracts a lot of people so there might be a wait.

First visit and so many choices! Enjoyed the Chicken and udon noodle. Udon noodle is one of my favorites so glad to see it made as a dish not only in a soup. Service was on point. Food came out fast and hot and we beat the Lunch rush which was perfect. Prices were also great with starting at under 10. New spot to share with friends.

I used to work there 20 years ago as the closing cook. The staff was great and the food was excellent as I remembered. Great job guys!!!

Excllent. I love the fried squaid. The texture is amazing. The eel is soft and juicy. The chicken is tender but needs some extra flavor. The paste is tasty but too short.

Go to place for Hong Kong Cafe food with great milk tea. Prices have gone up, but that's expected. This place has been here for over a decade and has proven it's worth to stay.

The portions are big and the food comes out hot. Unlike many Chinese places the service here is actually decent. The decor is okay Amy's they show sports on many of the televisions. This is a really nice place to dine both casually and die special occasions too. Highly recommended.

Baccali is a local favorite. The restaurant offers a large and varied menu popular in Hong Kong and the Canton area of southern China. There are Western style dishes featuring a mix of their house chicken and steak, fish or lamb. Those come with a choice of pasta, rice and vegetable. The majority of the menu comprises Chinese dishes, with a section of Malaysian and Indonesian fare. Like a lot of restaurants of this genre (they are popular in this area) the food tends to be high on the salt content. So if you care, tell them to limit it. Additionally, unless you're dead set on eating Western food..skip it and get Chinese. It tends to be better prepared. The only Western item they make fairly well is their house chicken. The eel feed rice and their beef chow fun are both good here by the way.

Solid HK cafe. I recommend their Malaysian chicken and Eel fried rice.

Cheap food. Free drinks for the breakfast deal. Service staff is typical Hong Kong. If you can be happy with eating off the breakfast specials, breakfast is super cheap. Must get there before 11am for the deals. Have been going here for years.

If you're looking for a quick gourmet Hong Kong style cuisine, Baccali is your stop. The American and Maylasian fare is more cafeteria style flavour.

The food here is okay. The Baccali Chicken was tasty but a bit dry as well. And the rice was okay.

My favorite cafe restaurant, I've been going there over 10 years. Dinning atmosphere is great, high ceiling, experienced staff are friendly. Great food big portion.

Good food and great price.

Really enjoyed my meal. Fast service. Almost too fast the way the dish came out. Was great. Note, if you do not speak Cantaonese Chinese, the staff might be a bit curt with you, as that is how Chinese staff is known to be busy and in a rush all the time. But most staff speaks proficient English. I rate this place 5 stars for speed, food quality, and I like the bar.

They outside seatings for dine-in. Service and food is your standard Asian cafes. But it has been a long time since I dine-in at an Asian cafe. I gave them 4 stars because they were able to setup for dine-in.

This is a great spot. I've had breakfast here a few times and I always order the shrimp and eggs. So good.

I love this restaurant a lot. there is a very nice atmosphere. The meals are wonderful. the service is efficient and the crew is polite. The price is reasonable. I definitely recommend.

Asian comfort food in a nice setting. Lots and lots of options on the menu - Malaysian, Chinese, HK cha chan tiang food, etc Price is pretty reasonable.

All about the rotisserie chicken. So yummy. Taste of their golden fry chicken wings with curry dipping sauce is a must. Curry just like bacon, goes well with all kind of meat!

Typical Hong Kong/Western Cafe. Food is pretty good comparing to other nearby cafes. Service is actually not bad. Interestingly enough, the pasta that they serve is quite tasty. You can order a side of it & it's $1.50. Not bad at all & the portion is pretty good. Lots of combinations to choose from.

Beef stew curry the best on rice! Believe it or not, also they make a pretty good char boiled burger!

Great place and foods are delicious. There might be a wait but we always get to this place early so we only wait for at least 5 minutes.Parking might be a hassle but turn around of customer is pretty fast because service is extremely fast.The filet of sole with creamed corn baked over rice is very good. The steak is cooked as ordered. Their mushroom sauce is awesome. I ordered the baccali chicken before and it is good too. I have never ordered food here that I had to say negative.

Old school HK styled cafe with a rotisserie chicken theme, and their chicken is not even that good. Their other food is ok, and the lack of parking is a major problem. Often times we have to park on the street and take a long walk to get to the restaurant. This is one of the few HK styled cafe restaurants that offer pizzas.

They have a wide extensive menu from Chinese, Japanese, Korean, American entrees. The quality of food is very good and their portions are even better! It's casual - so come as you are.

Come here for the chicken steak! Though, there's no shortage of options on the menu. this is one of those restaurants with over a hundred options to choose from and definitely leans towards the Hong Kong cuisine feel. This place is safe to go to you when you have several friends that may want different options for dinner. This place has been in San Gabriel for a very long time and for good reason.

I come here quite often and the food here has always been good and in large portions. Food comes out fast. The service could be a hit or miss, but overall seems to be improving. The great thing about this place was how cheap the prices were. I remember when prices were almost half the current cost, but I guess everybody gotta make a living.At the end of the day, I still end up coming back. Just not as often.

Delicious traditional Cantonese dishes. We had Shrimp with Scramble eggs, Beef Chow Fun and Cantonese Style fried rice. All were huge portions and inexpensive. We have 3 boxes of leftover. Service was average. will be back next time I am in town.

The food was good but service was just okay. I’m definitely going to give them another shot! There was a language barrier issue for sure as I do not know any Chinese. We were not checked on. Something was missing from the order, but less of an issue because we were also not charged.

This is one of my favorite places to come for casual dining. The food comes in large portions and is always good. I've been coming here regularly for many years. I recommend anything that comes with meat. The only downside to this place is that the parking lot gets full quite often.

We met with friends at this place for dinner. we heard about this restaurant from a lot of people. Well, it was very successful. we were warmly welcomed by the staff and we had a great feeling. The food was just great. We loved this restaurant a lot and we shall definitely come back again. Recommended.

After more than 10 years of loyal patronage, I am saddened to write this review. We went during a busy lunch rush, placed our order with the young waitress, received drinks, and waited. After 45 minutes or so, the food had not arrived. We inquired about the food, and it turned out our order had never made it to the kitchen. The waiter who checked for us never gave a straight answer, and tried to turn it around and take our order, but we politely declined. Sad to say, we walked out. Tough to recommend it now.

Been coming to this joint since my school days. The quality of service has always been excellent, on the weekends, they may be slower, but still on top of keeping your drinks filled and table clean. Quality of food is still on par with much higher end restaurants. I have always been amazed at the speed it takes from ordering to food served on the table. On average around 5 minutes even on busy nights. This is my place to go and will continue to be.

I always come Baccali Rotisserie because I love their portions of their food. Also, their quality of steak (Pork, Beef, or Roasted Chicken) is pretty good compared to other cafes. Although this place sometimes has a hard time to find parking (street parking sometimes has to park a little far away from the place), I believe it is worth to wait based on the food. For the services part, staffs are good because they are working fast, and willing to refill the drinks. This place sometimes customers believe their food is expensive but I do believe the quality of steak is better than other cafes. Therefore, I recommend people come here for Roasted Chicken, Rib Eye Steak, and Curry.

This place is always packed!!! For good reason though, generous portions, huge selections, free refills on some drinks. The flavor I wouldn't say is the very best but it's pretty good although it could be the msg. Only thing I really hate about this place is how pack it can get. Always a line and not enough parking spots. I always get the French style pork chops, yum!

last night was our first time in this restaurant. But It is absolutely not the last. We passed a splendid evening with the excellent service, with the magnificent cuisine and fine drinks and with the friendly price. We will absolutely return there in a short time.

Always a lot of people here. Big portion of food. Free ice coffee refill. Great for an empty stomach.
